Propyl gallate is used as an anti-cerebral thrombosis, anti-cerebral infarction drug, working by inhibiting platelet aggregation caused by thromboxane A2 (TXA2). As a result, it lowers the viscosity and non-viscosity of blood, increases the electrophoretic velocity of red blood cells, and has a positive influence on blood circulation. Additionally, it relaxes vascular smooth muscle and increases coronary blood flow, helping to prevent myocardial ischemia and providing effective treatment. Therefore, it is commonly used in the prevention and treatment of cerebral thrombosis, coronary artery disease, and postoperative thrombotic deep vein phlebitis, such as thrombotic venous disorders.
