Application & Efficacy
    Two major studies provided concrete evudence for the anti-aging benefits of Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3: The search for a topical agent that would speed the healing of skin wounds, and a research study of what causes wrinkles. Matrixyl stimulates the lower layers of the skin to heal themselves, by producing cells known as fibroblasts, which accelerates wound healing. This is important, since the aging procress causes these fibroblasts to lose their abililty to produce adequate collagen.
    Matrixyl stimulates the "matrix" layers in the skin -- primarily collagen and fibronectin. When stimulated, the skin produces more collagen.
